Join Us For A Peaceful Demonstration Against Assisted Suicide

Where: Nurses Hall, Massachusetts State House,
24 Beacon Street, Boston, MA

When: 10:30am-1pm, Thursday, June 11th 2026
Please plan to arrive by 10:30 so we can gather and pass out signs.
The peaceful demonstration will start at 11am and will end around 12 or 12:30. Afterwards, we will pass out literature to legislative offices until 1pm.
Please wear purple for a visual show of our opposition

What: The pro-assisted suicide lobby is holding an advocacy day and we want to remind all present that they do not speak for Massachusetts. The disability rights community is hosting a peaceful demonstration with provided signs and to bear witness to our support for the dignity of all and opposition to discriminatory physician assisted suicide laws.

Who: Join with Second Thoughts Massachusetts and other disability leaders to remind legislators that assisted suicide faces strong opposition.

Why: Assisted suicide continues to be pushed around the country, with Delaware passing this dangerous legislation by a single vote in each chamber just this year. As the tireless lobby for death on demand continues to push these policies, we must take a stand and make it clear that there is strong opposition. Will you join us in these efforts?

And: After registering, you will receive information on where to gather and who to contact.

Looking forward to joining with you in this important work in solidarity! Any questions can be directed to Second Thoughts Massachusetts at 2ndThoughtsMA@gmail.com
