Vigils Across New York Demonstrate Opposition to Assisted Suicide

With short notice, a busy holiday season, and below-freezing temperatures, nearly 350 people showed up all around New York calling on Governor Kathy Hochul to veto dangerous and discriminatory assisted suicide legislation.

New Yorkers representing secular, disability, medical, and faith communities came together, standing shoulder to shoulder on cold December nights to tell the Governor that state-sanctioned suicide has no place here.

Advocates in Western New York, Central New York, the Capital Region, and New York City sent a unified message: VETO ASSISTED SUICIDE.
